Location & Accessibility

Situated slightly off the heavily congested parts of the main Barkot market, the camp offers a highly peaceful, noise-free environment. Despite its secluded feel, it remains incredibly practical for the Yatra. It is located roughly 45 kilometers from the Janki Chatti base camp. The location provides a highly scenic start to the morning drive toward Yamunotri, with the added benefit of waking up to the sounds of local birdlife and the rustling pine trees.

These are heavy-duty, semi-permanent structures designed specifically for mountain tourism. They feature solid flooring, real wooden beds with thick mattresses and quilts to ensure a warm night's sleep, and crucially, attached modern washrooms at the rear of the tent equipped with Western toilets and hot water facilities.
